North Heights is one of the more prestigious areas of Fountain Hills, Arizona. It is characterized by luxury, single-family homes and a great deal of custom construction. It is an affluent area, close to both golf courses and other diversions and within a short drive to Scottsdale which provides access to urban conveniences, a great deal of dining and upscale shopping.

Fountain Hills home prices tend to increase as one works their way up in elevation. North Heights is among the most sought-after locations, offering views of the McDowell Mountains. The entire community of Fountain Hills is principally located on the eastern slope of these mountains and the landscape is characterized by intense natural beauty, rolling hills and canyons and elegant examples of planned development.

There are tract homes available in Fountain Heights but areas such as North Heights emphasize the individual style of the homeowners. While North Heights was started as a planned community, there is enough diversity among the homes to keep it from looking homogenous, though there is a characteristic element of Southwestern luxury construction that permeates most of the homes to be found in this area. For those whose preferred luxuries include incredible views, North Heights is a good choice.

The Fountain Hills area has access to several different golf clubs, public and private, a cohesive community and is known for the fountain that decorates its town square. This fountain is actually the second-largest man made fountain in the world and is a recognizable symbol of the community's affluence. This is a safe area of the community, with good schools and easy access to any of the larger parts of the metropolitan area to which one may need to travel. The Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport, for instance, is only 19 miles away from the community.
