One of the pieces of gear that you need to have when you are playing paintball is gloves. Not enough people realize how important they can be. They are great for protecting your hands from injury, but they will also be able to give you a better grip on your gun and trigger.

Choosing the right paintball gloves isn’t as hard as many people make it out to be. You need to make sure that you choose a pair of high quality gloves that are comfortable to wear. While it might take you some time to find a pair that is perfect, once you do, you will never go back to playing the game without them. In order to make a good choice when you are buying your gloves, it pays to know a bit about the different options that you have.

You will find that the paintball gloves are available in many different materials. Today, gloves are available in leather, nylon and plastic, and they have varying levels of thickness. It’s important that you choose a material that you are comfortable with and that still provides you with unrestricted movements to your hands. Check to see what type of linings the gloves have for insulation. Neoprene glove linings are great because they still offer plenty of movement.

In addition to choosing among materials, you need to choose whether you want to have full fingered gloves or half finger gloves.

The full fingered paintball gloves cover the entire palm and all of the fingers as the name suggests. One of the advantages of these gloves is that they are going to be able to provide you with more warmth when it is cold outside. They can also protect from injuries better. However, the full fingered gloves can slow your trigger finger and interfere with movement. The half fingered gloves cover only the lower portion of the fingers. They don’t provide you with as much protection or warmth, but you will find that you have more movement for your fingers. You can even find some gloves that have some full fingers and some half fingers!

It might be a good idea to buy one of each – a full fingered glove and a half fingered glove. That way, you will be able to bring both of them along with you and choose the ones that fit the weather and the environment better.
